Spectators: 6774 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1774, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Gilberto Menjivar made the kick off which started today's match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcelo Orellana in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Waldir Bonilla saved Tingley from getting behind. Waldir Bonilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelo Orellana in the 5th minute of the match. A collision led to Tingley getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Victor Umaña hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Tingley's zone, Christian Alvarenga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Waldir Bonilla came out of the goal and Christian Alvarenga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Gerrards Cross FC defense, Amilcar Barragan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mauro Del Carmen. The Gerrards Cross FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mauro Del Carmen should have stopped the shot. 19 minutes into the match, Tingley's goal looked a bit too open when Christian Alvarenga came free, but Waldir Bonilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20th minute Marcelo Orellana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waldir Bonilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gilberto Menjivar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mauro Del Carmen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. Waldir Bonilla didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marcelo Orellana went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. 27 minutes into the match, Gerrards Cross FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gilberto Menjivar came free, but Mauro Del Carmen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Christian Alvarenga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 31st minute, Eraldo Vinosis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Amilcar Barragan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Mauro Del Carmen made a huge save. After having played for 41 minutes, Christian Alvarenga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gerrards Cross FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christian Alvarenga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Gilberto Menjivar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Christian Alvarenga was the one to do the kick off. After 52 minutes, Alvaro Ventura mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gerrards Cross FC and the Tingley players grew even worse after the yellow card. Alvaro Ventura kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Marcelo Orellana blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Waldir Bonilla having to make a save. Tingley's Waldir Bonilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelo Orellana in the 73rd minute of play. Amilcar Barragan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Christian Alvarenga came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Gerrards Cross FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christian Alvarenga couldn't finish the play. In the 92nd match minute, Tingley was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonathan Ancheta to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Tingley's zone, Marcelo Orellana stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Waldir Bonilla came out of the goal and Marcelo Orellana tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Tingley fans cheered their team off the field, for while Gerrards Cross FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
