Spectators: 6787 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1787, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Ronald Martinez got the match started through his kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Henry Orobio notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Cowes City's Avilio Castaneda. Avilio Castaneda was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 8 minutes, Henry Orobio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the St Albans FC and the Cowes City players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, St Albans FC's Mariano Parada got a free kick in the 11th minute. When Felipe Pimentel came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Cowes City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felipe Pimentel couldn't finish the play. Cowes City's Camilo Bran got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Avilio Castaneda came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by St Albans FC's Arturo Zepeda. But to his dismay, Arturo Zepeda quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 29th minute, Hector Gallardo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Arturo Zepeda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Avilio Castaneda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cowes City's Avilio Castaneda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arturo Zepeda in the 33rd minute of play. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind St Albans FC's goalkeeper Rolando Salamanca, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Avilio Castaneda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arturo Zepeda in the 39th minute of play. After 42 minutes, Julio Pedrozo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cowes City and the St Albans FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Cowes City's Julio Pedrozo got a free kick in the 44th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hector Gallardo was the one to do the kick off. Rolando Salamanca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felipe Pimentel, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 58th match minute, St Albans FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henry Orobio to maneuver through the defense. In the 60th minute, Dagoberto Corrales hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 61 minutes into the match, Cowes City's Victor Fuentes broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After a defensive mix-up in St Albans FC's zone, Felipe Pimentel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rolando Salamanca came out of the goal and Felipe Pimentel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rolando Salamanca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felipe Pimentel, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Hector Gallardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Avilio Castaneda having to interfere.
