Camilo Figueroa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rolando Salamanca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rony Rodriguez in the 40th minute of the match. The supporters of Darlington booed when St Albans FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mariano Parada didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rony Rodriguez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rony Rodriguez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Camilo Figueroa was the one to do the kick off. Cesar Ribeiro charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cesar Ribeiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 52 minutes into the game, one of Darlington:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Dagoberto Corrales walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. When Arturo Zepeda came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the St Albans FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arturo Zepeda couldn't finish the play. Camilo Figueroa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rolando Salamanca read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. William Santamaria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Rolando Salamanca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hector Gallardo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Camilo Figueroa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Rolando Salamanca made an important save on a dangerous shot by Camilo Figueroa in the 79th minute. In the 83rd minute Hector Gallardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Efren Barraza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Camilo Figueroa in the 85th minute of play forced St Albans FC's goalkeeper Rolando Salamanca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Efren Barraza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hector Gallardo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
