Spectators: 6778 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1778, VIP seats: 0) F.C.Barcelona's Oswaldo Guevara started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Efren Lara came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Hale FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Efren Lara couldn't finish the play. When the match clock showed 6 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Shawn Fernandez sped through Hale FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Oswaldo Molina. Efren Lara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Leonel Montes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Hale FC getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Omar Umanzor hit a great ball. If Shawn Fernandez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. F.C.Barcelona's Yasir Orellana suffered a concussion after 44 minutes and had to leave the field. A collision led to Hale FC getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Ovidio Batres hit a great ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Efren Lara to make the kick off. If Efren Lara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 60 minutes into the match, Hale FC's Juan Leiva sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leonel Montes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Leonel Montes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juan Leiva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 64th minute Efren Lara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonel Montes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 64 minutes into the game, Hale FC's Efren Lara nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Leonel Montes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Oswaldo Guevara kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 69thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Hale FC's keeper Oswaldo Molina was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Efren Lara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonel Montes having to interfere. Giovani Quintanilla's late challenge caught a Hale FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Giovani Quintanilla helped the player get up and apologised. After 72 played minutes F.C.Barcelona got a freekick which was hit by Giovani Quintanilla. 3-1 became the score in the 83rd minute when Juan Leiva elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 90thth minute of the game Efren Lara who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but F.C.Barcelona's Leonel Montes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Efren Lara put it in 4-1 from a short distance just to the right of Leonel Montes. Efren Lara took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leonel Montes. Leonel Montes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. Hale FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
