Alexander Sandoval acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 13th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Julio Batres. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jose Meza during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Pablo Del Carmen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Antonio Granados tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When Ivan Zapata came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Penzance FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ivan Zapata couldn't finish the play. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Flitwick's goalkeeper Alexander Sandoval, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Ovidio García came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Penzance FC fans jumped to their feet. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Flitwick reached it. Flitwick's Wilmer Castro got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 89 minutes into the match, Flitwick's goal looked a bit too open when Ivan Zapata came free, but Alexander Sandoval reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Ivan Zapata had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Flitwick's Alexander Sandoval played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ovidio García in the 94th minute of play. Alexander Sandoval made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ovidio García in the 96th minute of play.
