Jonathan Ancheta's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Juan Reyes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. If Ronald Fernandez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Fabio Toledano took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Abraham Gomez. Abraham Gomez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. 10 minutes into the match, Archway FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ramon Menjivar came free, but Abraham Gomez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fabio Toledano got free with Abraham Gomez in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 15 minutes into the game, Archway FC's Rolando Salguero nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Juan Reyes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After 18 played minutes Bishops Castle got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Martinez. Misael Suarez, 19 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 21 minutes into the game, Camilo Martinez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bishops Castle's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Archway FC the free kick. 21 minutes into the game, one of Bishops Castle:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Through an outstanding action, after 26 minutes, Abraham Gomez successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Fabio Toledano came free with the goalkeeper in the 27th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Abraham Gomez could save by the left post. 30 minutes into the match, Archway FC's goalkeeper Abraham Gomez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fabio Toledano. If Ronald Fernandez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Bishops Castle booed when Archway FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Ancheta didn't get a good kick on the ball. 38 minutes into the game, Ivan Posadas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Archway FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bishops Castle the free kick. Ivan Posadas kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Fabio Toledano might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Abraham Gomez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fabio Toledano ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fabio Toledano got free with Abraham Gomez in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fabio Toledano struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Abraham Gomez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bishops Castle. Fabio Toledano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Abraham Gomez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rolando Salguero was the one to do the kick off. Arturo Villarreal's late challenge caught a Archway FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arturo Villarreal helped the player get up and apologised. In the 53rd match minute, Bishops Castle was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arturo Villarreal to maneuver through the defense. 55 minutes into the match, Archway FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ronald Fernandez came free, but Abraham Gomez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Rolando Salguero's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Juan Reyes was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabio Toledano in the 66th minute of play forced Archway FC's goalkeeper Abraham Gomez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ramon Menjivar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abraham Gomez having to interfere. Abraham Gomez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronald Fernandez, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Archway FC's goalkeeper Abraham Gomez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Bishops Castle's Fabio Toledano in the 94th minute got a chance for a shot 94th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Archway FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 96th minute Rolando Salguero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Reyes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
