Marcelo Corrales hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. In the 8th minute Primitivo Asad shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benji Orobio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wilmer Sanchez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Primitivo Najarro, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Félix Larios charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Félix Larios the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of St Ives City booed when Petersfield was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Félix Larios didn't get a good kick on the ball. 19 minutes into the match, Primitivo Asad notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of St Ives City's Benji Orobio. Benji Orobio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Petersfield's Wilmer Sanchez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Petersfield from getting a goal against them. 30 minutes in the game, Primitivo Najarro fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Wilmer Sanchez having to interfere. Petersfield's Wilmer Sanchez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelo Corrales in the 46th minute of play. If Primitivo Asad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The wind increased when Primitivo Asad made the kick off in the second half. In the 58thth minute of the game Marcelo Corrales who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Petersfield's Wilmer Sanchez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Petersfield's Hector Guardado got a free kick in the 61st minute. Mauricio Braun kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Richard Hidalgo hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Primitivo Asad received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Benji Orobio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 87th minute, Petersfield's Januario Machado seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Januario Machado the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Petersfield protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Januario Machado had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Primitivo Najarro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilmer Sanchez having to interfere. St Ives City's Primitivo Najarro got a good chance for a goal in the 99th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
