Hedge End AFC's Omar Alvarez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardo Vinosis in the 20th minute of play. Kesgrave FC's Andrés Guzman got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Omar Alvarez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Andrés Guzman in the 29th minute. If Alexis Nunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Manuel Magaña fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Deris Gallardo having to interfere. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Manuel Magaña to make the kick off. Hedge End AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Manuel Magaña was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Deris Gallardo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardo Vinosis in the 62nd minute of play forced Hedge End AFC's goalkeeper Omar Alvarez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when David Ochoa got free with Deris Gallardo in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 72 minutes into the match, Andrés Guzman notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Hedge End AFC's Omar Alvarez. Omar Alvarez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manuel Magaña couldn't finish the play. The Hedge End AFC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Kesgrave FC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
