The referee ignored Muswell Hill's protests and gave Henry Tobar a yellow card for diving instead. Henry Tobar hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Zelvin Villatoro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Daniel Rivas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Christian Gutierrez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marvin Alvarez having to interfere. Daniel Rivas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Josue Barreto in the 19th minute of the match. Luis Flamenco's late challenge caught a Richmond's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luis Flamenco helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Muswell Hill's Luis Flamenco got a free kick in the 21st minute. Daniel Rivas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zelvin Villatoro, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Josue Barreto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 36th minute, Ulises Vinosis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marvin Alvarez was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Josue Barreto took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Daniel Rivas. Daniel Rivas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Josue Barreto to strike the kick off in the second half. If Josue Barreto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. If Zelvin Villatoro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Richmond's Josue Barreto got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Muswell Hill's Daniel Rivas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Muswell Hill from getting a goal against them. If Marcelo Castillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alfredo Sigaran during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Muswell Hill booed when Richmond was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfredo Sigaran didn't get a good kick on the ball.
