After having played for 4 minutes, Eliseo Arellano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dunton Bassett's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eliseo Arellano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Bembridge United's Mauricio Lozano got control of the ball when Lorenzo Ocampo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Milton Cerritos hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. In the 17th match minute, Bembridge United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eraldo Mejia to maneuver through the defense. Eliseo Arellano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Mauricio Lozano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Bembridge United booed when Dunton Bassett was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benjamín Granados didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carmelo Navarro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Benji Ochoa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benji Ochoa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulises Carranza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Lorenzo Ocampo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lorenzo Ocampo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mauricio Lozano having to interfere. When Eliseo Arellano came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Dunton Bassett fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eliseo Arellano couldn't finish the play. After 47 played minutes, Bembridge United's Angel Brizuela shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Benji Ochoa came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Bembridge United reached it. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Dunton Bassett's defense didn't have a chance, in the 60th minute, when Ulises Carranza scored to the left of an out of position Benji Ochoa, making the score, 1-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lorenzo Ocampo in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mauricio Lozano saved Bembridge United from getting behind. Carmelo Navarro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Benji Ochoa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Ulises Carranza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Dunton Bassett's Eliseo Arellano in the 81st minute got a chance for a shot 81st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Bembridge United's goalie prevented a goal. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
