After 5 played minutes Stamford Bridge City got a freekick which was hit by Alonso Hinguanzo. Erick Velis kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Sarbelio Reyes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sarbelio Reyes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Efren Lovo in the 43rd minute of play. 47 minutes into the match, Stamford Bridge City's Andrés Molina sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hugo Larios narrowly saved just below the crossbar.

When Omar Palencia fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bridlington's protests and gave Omar Palencia a yellow card for diving instead. After 95 played minutes Bridlington got a freekick which was hit by Omar Palencia. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Bridlington had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
