But to his dismay, Alfredo Cerritos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After having played for 34 minutes, Leonel Gamero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stamford Bridge City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leonel Gamero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 36 played minutes Blackburn AFC got a freekick which was hit by Max Escalante. When Stamford Bridge City's Leonel Gamero in the 46th minute got a chance for a shot 46th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Blackburn AFC's goalie prevented a goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 54th minute of the match Blackburn AFC got a corner. Stamford Bridge City's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Erick Amaya ran over to the corner to take the kick. Erick Amaya made a great header on Blackburn AFC's corner, it was just that Stamford Bridge City's Sarbelio Reyes managed to reach the ball for a save. 58 minutes into the game, Erick Amaya was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Blackburn AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Stamford Bridge City the free kick. A collision led to Blackburn AFC getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Erick Amaya hit a great ball. Andrés Molina scored 1-2 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jorge Fernandez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Leonel Gamero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Fernandez having to interfere. In the 75th minute Alonso Rivas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sarbelio Reyes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Blackburn AFC booed when Stamford Bridge City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alonso Hinguanzo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Blackburn AFC's Jorge Fernandez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andrés Molina in the 78th minute of play. Andrés Molina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Jorge Fernandez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jorge Fernandez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andrés Molina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alfredo Cerritos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Blackburn AFC's Jorge Fernandez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonel Gamero in the 96th minute of play. The Stamford Bridge City supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Blackburn AFC's performance. The match ended with a win for Blackburn AFC.
