The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpected shot in the 4th minute by Andrés Molina got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Pablo Lozano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leonel Gamero in the 4th minute. 4 minutes into the game, Leonel Gamero recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Pablo Lozano. Leonel Gamero showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Stamford Bridge City's Sarbelio Reyes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rony Pimentel in the 13th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Andrés Molina managed to get in a good position for a shot. Stamford Bridge City's supporters rose to their feet, but Andrés Molina was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pablo Lozano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Rochford's Angel Melendez got a free kick in the 25th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leonel Gamero in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pablo Lozano saved Rochford from getting behind. 29 minutes into the match, Stamford Bridge City's goal looked a bit too open when Rony Pimentel came free, but Sarbelio Reyes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Rochford's Claudio Machado got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Stamford Bridge City's Sarbelio Reyes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramon Escobar in the 37th minute of play. If Leonel Gamero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leonel Gamero was extremely unlucky when he, in the 41st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After a defensive mix-up in Rochford's zone, Leonel Gamero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pablo Lozano came out of the goal and Leonel Gamero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Leonel Gamero to strike the kick off in the second half. Andrés Molina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Rolando Arellano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rony Pimentel was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 81st minute. Rochford's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 84th minute, Rony Pimentel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Stamford Bridge City's Sarbelio Reyes got control of the ball when Rony Pimentel tried to sneak it across the goal line. Stamford Bridge City were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Rochford for a fine match.
