Leigh United's Christian Hinguanzo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dennys Guzman in the 5th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Cressage's Jaime Pacheco got a free kick in the 9th minute. After 11 played minutes Leigh United got a freekick which was hit by Arturo Lovo. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Leopoldo Moreira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cressage's supporters rose to their feet, but Leopoldo Moreira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christian Hinguanzo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Leopoldo Moreira struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Christian Hinguanzo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cressage. If Dennys Guzman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Leigh United's goalkeeper Christian Hinguanzo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Christian Hinguanzo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leopoldo Moreira, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Jhalmar Alvarado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jhalmar Mendoza in the 34th minute of play. Leopoldo Machado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jhalmar Alvarado read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. If Dennys Guzman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Christian Hinguanzo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dennys Guzman, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jhalmar Mendoza made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jhalmar Mendoza in the 52nd minute of play forced Cressage's goalkeeper Jhalmar Alvarado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jhalmar Alvarado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leopoldo Machado in the 59th minute of play. After 59 played minutes Cressage got a freekick which was hit by Humberto Morales. Humberto Morales hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Leopoldo Machado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jhalmar Alvarado having to interfere. In the 73rd match minute, Leigh United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernesto Castaneda to maneuver through the defense. Jhalmar Mendoza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Jhalmar Alvarado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ernesto Castaneda hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
