Felipe Hernández made an important save on a dangerous shot by Oswaldo Mendez in the 18th minute. When Luis Victorino fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Holmer Green's protests and gave Luis Victorino a yellow card for diving instead. Luis Victorino kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. 20 minutes into the match, Eraldo Chavez notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Holmer Green's Felipe Hernández. Felipe Hernández was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 23 minutes of play, Holmer Green's Libardo Quijada made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alvaro Molina was left in no man's land by his defense there! Alvaro Molina showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Libardo Quijada in the 27th minute of the match. After 29 played minutes Leek FC got a freekick which was hit by Jose Madariaga. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilberto Rivero in the 31st minute of play forced Leek FC's goalkeeper Alvaro Molina to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eraldo Chavez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Felipe Hernández showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eraldo Chavez, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Oswaldo Mendez scored 2-2 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Felipe Hernández, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gilberto Rivero struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Alvaro Molina didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Holmer Green. In the 65th minute Libardo Quijada shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alvaro Molina saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Oswaldo Mendez struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Felipe Hernández didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Leek FC. After 71 played minutes Holmer Green got a freekick which was hit by Misael Ramos. Leek FC's Henry Rivero couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Holmer Green. If Oswaldo Mendez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alvaro Molina made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Gilberto Rivero sent off a good shot on target. Libardo Quijada received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Alvaro Molina tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
