After a defensive mix-up in Ashton Under Hill's zone, Luis Del Carmen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Angel Toledano came out of the goal and Luis Del Carmen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Odir Villacorta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Benji Canales showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eraldo Gallegos in the 39th minute of the match. Odir Villacorta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benji Canales having to interfere. Eraldo Gallegos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Selvin Rivas in the 90th minute of play forced Ashton Under Hill's goalkeeper Angel Toledano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
