The crowd rose to their feet as Weir AFC's Félix Cortez slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jairo Gallardo. That made the score 1-0 after 42 minutes of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Emerson Llorente was the one to do the kick off. Jairo Gallardo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Weir AFC's Félix Cortez managed to work through Avebury United's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Félix Cortez dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Weir AFC had won after a very even match.
