Emerson Salinas kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Wokingham's Leonel Aguirrez got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Leonel Aguirrez took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Victor Menjivar. Victor Menjivar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The supporters of Cheshunt booed when Wokingham was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felipe Umanzor didn't get a good kick on the ball. Julio Escalante took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 29th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Alonso Cerna. Wokingham's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Salvador Rey during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Cheshunt fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 30th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Salvador Rey a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Cheshunt getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Salvador Rey hit a great ball. Leonel Aguirrez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victor Menjivar having to interfere. Alonso Cerna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leopoldo Molina, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. After 66 minutes, Joselito Boianelli mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cheshunt and the Wokingham players grew even worse after the yellow card. Wokingham played a much better game than Cheshunt and deserved their victory. The Cheshunt players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
