Birmingham's Abraham Braun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ismael Bentos in the 5th minute of play. Allan Pedrozo charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The supporters of Eastcote booed when Birmingham was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Allan Pedrozo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Abraham Braun didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Paolo Garay went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 18th match minute, Birmingham was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angel Valenzuela to maneuver through the defense. In the 19th minute of the match Pablo Amaya shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Abraham Braun showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. David Valenzuela fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abraham Braun having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Roberto Canales took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Edgardo Renderos to make any attempt to save it. Ismael Bentos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ismael Bentos to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Odir Talia in the 60th minute of play forced Eastcote's goalkeeper Edgardo Renderos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 67th minute, Odir Talia left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Birmingham fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Odir Talia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edgardo Renderos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Odir Talia, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. After having played for 92 minutes, Paolo Garay managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Eastcote's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paolo Garay was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Birmingham's Abraham Braun got control of the ball when Paolo Garay tried to sneak it across the goal line.
