In the 37thth minute of the game Marcelo Zaldaña who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Great Totham's Richard Canales was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 39 minutes into the game, Joselito Flamenco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Great Totham's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Curdridge AFC the free kick. After 40 played minutes, Curdridge AFC's Edwin Villacorta shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Richard Canales came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Curdridge AFC reached it. Richard Canales took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonathan Zepeda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Jonathan Zepeda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Great Totham's Richard Canales played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonathan Zepeda in the 48th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marcelo Zaldaña stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 61st minute, Julio Escalante hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Efren Erazo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Giovani Alfaro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mariano Brizuela in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Giovani Alfaro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Curdridge AFC's Giovani Alfaro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Efren Erazo in the 67th minute of play. After 70 played minutes Curdridge AFC got a freekick which was hit by Ovidio Mejia. After a rather tough play, Great Totham's Joselito Flamenco got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Patricio Gamero charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Patricio Gamero the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 76th minute of the game. One of Great Totham:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Curdridge AFC:s goal. Edwin Villacorta shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Max Navarro charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Max Navarro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 83 played minutes Curdridge AFC got a freekick which was hit by Max Navarro. In the 86th minute, Benji Lozano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Richard Canales made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelo Zaldaña in the 88th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Marcelo Zaldaña kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Richard Canales. That made the score 0-1 in the 91 minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Curdridge AFC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
