Jonathan Zepeda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Daniel Murgas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelo Zaldaña in the 20th minute of play. After 26 played minutes Curdridge AFC got a freekick which was hit by Amilcar Barreto. After a rather tough play, Thurnscoe United's Giovani Victorino got a free kick in the 28th minute. In the 30th match minute, Thurnscoe United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Giovani Victorino to maneuver through the defense. Jonathan Zepeda blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Daniel Murgas having to make a save. In the 36th minute Marcelo Zaldaña shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Murgas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Amilcar Barreto hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Daniel Murgas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonathan Zepeda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Ovidio Mejia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joselito Campos was the one to do the kick off. After 53 minutes of play, Thurnscoe United's Patricio Orobio made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. When Joselito Campos came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Thurnscoe United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joselito Campos couldn't finish the play. During the 99th minute of the match Amilcar Barreto completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Amilcar Barreto a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Amilcar Barreto kicked well hit freekick during the 100th minute of the match. Marcelo Zaldaña hit a great freekick 101 minutes into the match. In the 102nd minute Patricio Orobio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giovani Alfaro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Curdridge AFC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
