Jonathan Zepeda ran back to his position shaking his head. Marcelo Zaldaña sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hector Aguilar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelo Zaldaña, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Curdridge AFC's Amilcar Barreto suffered a sore thigh after 17 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Augusto Fornos during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to The Very bests getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Augusto Fornos hit a great ball. Edwin Villacorta took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 19th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Hector Aguilar. The Very bests's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Jonathan Zepeda's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hector Aguilar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. The Very bests's Sarbelio Corpeño got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jonathan Zepeda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hector Aguilar having to interfere. Hector Aguilar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonathan Zepeda, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. In the 41st minute, Jonathan Zepeda got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Joselito Barragan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Giovani Alfaro having to make a save. Joselito Barragan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joselito Barragan to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute, Ovidio Mejia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of The Very bests booed when Curdridge AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ovidio Mejia didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Curdridge AFC defense, Sarbelio Corpeño kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Giovani Alfaro. The Curdridge AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Giovani Alfaro should have stopped the shot. In the 69th minute Joselito Barragan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giovani Alfaro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcelo Zaldaña might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hector Aguilar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marcelo Zaldaña ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 75th minute, Jonathan Zepeda got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ovidio Mejia struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Hector Aguilar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Curdridge AFC. Jonathan Zepeda let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 80th minute shot 2-1 at rihgt post. In the 83rd minute, The Very bests's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Jonathan Zepeda fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 85 minutes into the match, Curdridge AFC's Marcelo Zaldaña sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hector Aguilar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 89 minutes into the match, Curdridge AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Joselito Barragan came free, but Giovani Alfaro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 91 minutes into the match, The Very bests's goalkeeper Hector Aguilar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jonathan Zepeda. If Sarbelio Corpeño had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 99th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
