Derry Hill's Zelvin Sosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yasir Verdugo in the 36th minute of play. If Josue Espindola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Josue Espindola sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Josue Espindola was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Derry Hill getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Marcelo Aguilar hit a great ball. Zelvin Sosa made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Yasir Verdugo sent off a good shot on target. Odir Carballo might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ramon Rivero. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Odir Carballo ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 74th minute, Yasir Verdugo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Arturo Palencia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hinckley's supporters rose to their feet, but Arturo Palencia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zelvin Sosa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Danilo Victorino during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Odir Carballo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ramon Rivero read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. Derry Hill's Zelvin Sosa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Derry Hill from getting a goal against them. Odir Carballo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
