Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Edwin Castillo got the match started through his kick off. After 3 minutes, Jhonnatan Batres mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Yate City and the Salcombe AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Yate City's Jhonnatan Batres got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Edwin Castillo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Hector Murgas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Misael Cruz struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Hector Murgas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Yate City. Primitivo Sifon's late challenge caught a Yate City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Primitivo Sifon helped the player get up and apologised. In the 11th match minute, Salcombe AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Primitivo Sifon to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edwin Castillo in the 12th minute of play forced Salcombe AFC's goalkeeper Hector Murgas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Misael Cruz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Hector Murgas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 20 minutes into the match, Salcombe AFC's Felipe Aguirrez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ulises Aguilar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Dennys Velis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 33rd minute Misael Cruz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hector Murgas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hector Murgas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edwin Castillo went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Felipe Aguirrez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Ulises Aguilar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dennys Velis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulises Aguilar having to interfere. Primitivo Sifon got his second yellow card in the match during the 47th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 48 played minutes Salcombe AFC got a freekick which was hit by Primitivo Sifon. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dennys Velis to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dennys Velis in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ulises Aguilar saved Yate City from getting behind. In the 57th minute Dennys Velis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulises Aguilar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 61 minutes into the match, Salcombe AFC's goalkeeper Hector Murgas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Misael Cruz. Dennys Velis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 63 minutes into the match, Yate City's goal looked a bit too open when Felipe Aguirrez came free, but Ulises Aguilar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edwin Castillo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Hector Murgas came out and tried to block the shot, but Edwin Castillo slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 65th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Edwin Castillo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Hector Murgas. That made the score 1-3 in the 73 minute of play. Dennys Velis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Dennys Velis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 97 minutes of play, Salcombe AFC's Dennys Velis made it 3-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ulises Aguilar was left in no man's land by his defense there! The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
