But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Alas couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Victorino Arango during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Stamford Bridge FC's Victorino Arango got a free kick in the 20th minute. Oswaldo Messias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Roberto Castaneda walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Jhalmar Oporto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Stamford Bridge FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jhalmar Oporto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Januario Coreas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Januario Coreas didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 94th minute, which inside left pole to 2-1. Nunthorpe United walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
