Esteban Posadas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Adolfo Flamenco made a huge save. In the 8th minute, Augusto Ruiz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Louth fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Ernesto Ventura charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ernesto Ventura the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Paolo Orellana managed to get in a good position for a shot. Liverpool United's supporters rose to their feet, but Paolo Orellana was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dagoberto Ramirez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 23rd minute Paolo Orellana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dagoberto Ramirez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Esteban Posadas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Augusto Ruiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Liverpool United's Paolo Orellana got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 35 minutes into the match, Louth's Esteban Posadas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Adolfo Flamenco narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Louth's Augusto Ruiz got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Leopoldo Umaña fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adolfo Flamenco having to interfere. The supporters of Louth booed when Liverpool United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isaac Ochoa didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Esteban Posadas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Esteban Posadas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Paolo Orellana was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Liverpool United's goal looked a bit too open when Esteban Posadas came free, but Adolfo Flamenco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 57 played minutes Liverpool United got a freekick which was hit by William Orobio. Esteban Posadas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 59 minutes into the game, Pablo Umaña was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Liverpool United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Louth the free kick. In the 61st minute, Esteban Posadas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. After having played for 73 minutes, Augusto Ruiz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Louth's supporters crossed their fingers, but Augusto Ruiz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Liverpool United's goalkeeper Adolfo Flamenco, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Adolfo Flamenco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Esteban Posadas, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Adolfo Flamenco stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Esteban Posadas's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Isaac Ochoa during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 80th match minute, Liverpool United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isaac Ochoa to maneuver through the defense. Adolfo Flamenco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Esteban Posadas in the 81st minute of the match. Isaac Ochoa was shown his second yellow card after 81 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 82nd minute, Isaac Ochoa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 85th minute, Augusto Ruiz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Liverpool United getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Pedro Sifon hit a great ball. Esteban Posadas struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Adolfo Flamenco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Louth. After a defensive mix-up in Liverpool United's zone, Esteban Posadas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adolfo Flamenco came out of the goal and Esteban Posadas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Avilio Sosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adolfo Flamenco having to interfere. When Esteban Posadas came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Louth fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Esteban Posadas couldn't finish the play. When the referee ended the match the Louth players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
