A collision led to Guatepeque se va de MZ getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Kacper Ankiewicz hit a great ball. Victor Quijada recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Victor Quijada in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Maciej Korzym saved Guatepeque se va de MZ from getting behind. In the 21st minute Arturo Mena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felipe Viscarra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manuel Quijada sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Felipe Viscarra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronald Fuentes in the 27th minute of play. In the 28th match minute, Real Papaturense was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dagoberto Fernandez to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 31 minutes, Victor Quijada managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Real Papaturense's supporters crossed their fingers, but Victor Quijada was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arturo Mena scored 0-1 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Felipe Viscarra, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Felipe Viscarra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Félix Oporto in the 36th minute of play. Victor Quijada sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Victor Quijada came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Real Papaturense fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Victor Quijada couldn't finish the play. After 48 played minutes Guatepeque se va de MZ got a freekick which was hit by Ronald Fuentes. The Real Papaturense players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Guatepeque se va de MZ were winning 0-1.

A collision led to Real Papaturense getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Wilber Parada hit a great ball. If Glenn Zetzmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 56 minutes into the game, Saul Navas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Guatepeque se va de MZ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Real Papaturense the free kick. The supporters of Real Papaturense booed when Guatepeque se va de MZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Saul Navas didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victor Quijada in the 58th minute of play forced Guatepeque se va de MZ's goalkeeper Maciej Korzym to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Felipe Viscarra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronald Fuentes, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. In the 65th minute, Real Papaturense's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ronald Fuentes fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 68 minutes into the match, Real Papaturense's goal looked a bit too open when Félix Oporto came free, but Felipe Viscarra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paolo Sifon kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Victor Quijada in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a little luck, Real Papaturense's Felipe Viscarra got control of the ball when Eraldo Salamanca tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 93 minutes, Benjamín Paredes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Real Papaturense and the Guatepeque se va de MZ players grew even worse after the yellow card.
