Derry Hill's Erick Corpeño played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicolás Garay in the 12th minute of play. Derry Hill's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Poulton-Le-Fylde United the free kick. A collision led to Derry Hill getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ivan Escalante took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Erick Corpeño. Erick Corpeño dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. The Derry Hill players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Poulton-Le-Fylde United were winning 0-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ivan Escalante was the one to do the kick off. In the 61st minute, Ivan Escalante left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Poulton-Le-Fylde United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. A hard shot 64 in the game by Ivan Escalante from a close distance when the talented Erick Corpeño managed to make a qualified save. Derry Hill's players were relieved. 65 minutes into the game, Poulton-Le-Fylde United's Amilcar Morales nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Erick Corpeño made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. Amilcar Morales fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erick Corpeño having to interfere. Patricio Ayala hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. After 72 played minutes Derry Hill got a freekick which was hit by Mario Parada. 78 minutes into the match, Baltazar Viscarra notched a goal, 0-7, to the right of Derry Hill's Erick Corpeño. Erick Corpeño was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a little luck, Derry Hill's Erick Corpeño got control of the ball when Ivan Escalante tried to sneak it across the goal line. The long shot by Milton Rodriguez in the 89th minute really tested Erick Corpeño's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Ivan Escalante did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-10 to the left of a surprised Erick Corpeño 91 minutes into the match. When the match was over Poulton-Le-Fylde United could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Derry Hill throughout the match.
