The Banditos fans' excitement grew in the 12th match minute when Banditos's Eliseo Díaz looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 15thth minute of the game Eliseo Díaz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Axbridge's Avilio Rivera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Banditos's Armando Rodriguez got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Camilo Benavides took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 22nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Eraldo Coreas. Banditos's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Eraldo Coreas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauro Barraza in the 28th minute of play. Armando Rodriguez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Eliseo Díaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match clock showed 39 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Eliseo Díaz sped through Axbridge's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Avilio Rivera. Avilio Rivera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliseo Díaz in the 44th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eliseo Díaz to make the kick off. Eliseo Díazs short, quick shot in the 51stth minute got Avilio Rivera to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Adolfo Guerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience was convinced that Eliseo Díaz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Avilio Rivera was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. When Eliseo Díaz came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Banditos fans jumped to their feet. Avilio Rivera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseo Díaz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jhonnatan Medrano during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Axbridge fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 74th minute. Penalty! Eliseo Díaz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Avilio Rivera having to interfere. A collision led to Axbridge getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Dagoberto Messias hit a great ball. Eliseo Díaz struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Avilio Rivera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Banditos. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adolfo Guerra got free with Avilio Rivera in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Eliseo Díaz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Avilio Rivera having to interfere. If Armando Rodriguez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Axbridge's Eraldo Gamero got his second yellow card of the match in the 88th minute. The referee ordered Eraldo Gamero off the ground. Banditos made a substitution. David Zepeda replaced Armando Rodriguez. In the 90th match minute, Axbridge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eraldo Gamero to maneuver through the defense. Banditos's Eliseo Díaz came free and shot a quick shot against goal 91 minutes in the game, fortunately Avilio Rivera had problems saving as it came toward the left post. When the match was over Banditos could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Axbridge throughout the match.
