But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andrés Bonilla couldn't finish the play. Eraldo Coreas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Andrés Bonilla went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After 18 played minutes Soul´s Anchor Tattoo got a freekick which was hit by Andrés Bonilla. 19 minutes into the match, Soul´s Anchor Tattoo's goalkeeper Baltazar Gallardo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eliseo Díaz. Banditos's Eliseo Díaz got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 34 minutes into the match, Soul´s Anchor Tattoo's goal looked a bit too open when Eliseo Díaz came free, but Baltazar Gallardo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Baltazar Gallardo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseo Díaz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 37th minute, Armando Rodriguez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 39thth minute of the game Eliseo Díaz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Soul´s Anchor Tattoo's Baltazar Gallardo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Eliseo Díaz who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 42ndth minute tested the skills of Baltazar Gallardo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Eliseo Díazs short, quick shot in the 44thth minute got Baltazar Gallardo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Eliseo Díaz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Baltazar Gallardo made a huge save. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Adolfo Muñoz was the one to do the kick off. Baltazar Gallardo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliseo Díaz, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eliseo Díaz in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Baltazar Gallardo saved Soul´s Anchor Tattoo from getting behind. Marcelo Rosales charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marcelo Rosales the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Soul´s Anchor Tattoo getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Marcelo Rosales hit a great ball. After having played for 58 minutes, Carlos Menjivar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Banditos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlos Menjivar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eliseo Díaz in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Baltazar Gallardo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Carlos Menjivar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Baltazar Gallardo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Soul´s Anchor Tattoo defense, Armando Rodriguez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Baltazar Gallardo. The Soul´s Anchor Tattoo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Baltazar Gallardo should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eliseo Díaz in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. The tension between the Banditos and the Soul´s Anchor Tattoo players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Soul´s Anchor Tattoo booed when Banditos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nelson Liborio didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Soul´s Anchor Tattoo's Jorge Guerra tried to score from far away in the 78th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After 81 played minutes Soul´s Anchor Tattoo got a freekick which was hit by Andrés Bonilla. 82 minutes into the match, Soul´s Anchor Tattoo's goal looked a bit too open when Armando Rodriguez came free, but Baltazar Gallardo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Giovani Mondragon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Eraldo Coreas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eliseo Díaz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Soul´s Anchor Tattoo's Giovani Mondragon got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
