The audience was convinced that Wágner Monteiro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edgardo Escobar was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wágner Monteiro in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edgardo Escobar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Wootton Bassett's Edgardo Escobar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wágner Monteiro in the 23rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wágner Monteiro in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edgardo Escobar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Wágner Monteiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Edgardo Escobar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Wágner Monteiro put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Edgardo Escobar. If Wágner Monteiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wágner Monteiro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edgardo Escobar having to make a save. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edgardo Escobar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Edgardo Escobar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cenk Oktar in the 49th minute of play. After the first half Ainsdale were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After some careless play in the Wootton Bassett defense, Cenk Oktar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edgardo Escobar. The Wootton Bassett fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edgardo Escobar should have stopped the shot. Wágner Monteiro kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Jose Henriquez kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Edgardo Escobar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kobi Usabiaga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 73rd play minutes Kobi Usabiaga shot 0-5, a short shot which went by Edgardo Escobar and just under the crossbar into goal. With his leg Edgardo Escobar managed to avoid a goal in the 77thth minute, when Ainsdale's Kobi Usabiaga fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The Ainsdale fans' excitement grew in the 78th match minute when Ainsdale's Kobi Usabiaga looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-6 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 81 minutes into the game, Ainsdale's Kobi Usabiaga nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edgardo Escobar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-7. A collision led to Wootton Bassett getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Roberto Parada hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 89 minutes, Cenk Oktar took a quick shot and it went in 0-8 without a chance for Edgardo Escobar to make any attempt to save it. Kobi Usabiaga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgardo Escobar having to interfere. Ainsdale's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
