In the 12th minute Marcelo Zaldaña shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafael Jatsu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alvaro Martinez made in the 14th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Mauro Villalobos immediately put the ball in play. In the 15th minute, Henry Botello made a precise shot to the right of Efren Pinho. Holloway's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Rafael Jatsu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcelo Zaldaña's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Marcelo Zaldaña put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Rafael Jatsu. U.S.A.C.'s Rafael Jatsu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelo Zaldaña in the 22nd minute of play. In the 23rd minute Marcos Villacorta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafael Jatsu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rafael Jatsu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelo Zaldaña, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Holloway's Marcelo Zaldaña got a free kick in the 31st minute. Manuel Arellano received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Efren Pinho came out and tried to block the shot, but Manuel Arellano slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 36th minute. 42 minutes into the game, Carlos Ruiz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. U.S.A.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Holloway the free kick. After 42 played minutes U.S.A.C. got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Ruiz. Israel Donis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Efren Pinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Manuel Escobar struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Efren Pinho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for U.S.A.C.. With his leg Rafael Jatsu managed to avoid a goal in the 60thth minute, when Holloway's Marcelo Zaldaña fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. U.S.A.C.'s Rafael Jatsu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelo Zaldaña in the 61st minute of play. Humberto Amaya hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. With a little luck, U.S.A.C.'s Rafael Jatsu got control of the ball when Marcelo Zaldaña tried to sneak it across the goal line. Henry Botello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Efren Pinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manuel Escobar in the 70th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, U.S.A.C.'s Henry Botello got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Marcelo Zaldaña blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rafael Jatsu having to make a save. U.S.A.C. made a substitution. German Ruano replaced Sergio Guevara. Rafael Jatsu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcos Villacorta in the 88th minute of play. Holloway's Marcos Villacorta managed to work through U.S.A.C.'s defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Marcos Villacorta dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. In the 91st minute, Danilo Verdugo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 93 played minutes Holloway got a freekick which was hit by Eliseo Sandoval. 95 minutes into the game, U.S.A.C.'s Fernando Bran nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Efren Pinho made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2.
