Spectators: 7000 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 2000, VIP seats: 0) Puerto San José's William Posadas started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. William Posadas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Orlando Sanchez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 11 played minutes Newlyn East AFC got a freekick which was hit by Alfredo Menjivar. Andrés Peredes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Orlando Sanchez having to interfere. William Posadas took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Orlando Sanchez. Orlando Sanchez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. If Andrés Peredes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. William Posadas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Orlando Sanchez having to interfere. Wilmer Dubon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Orlando Sanchez having to interfere. Orlando Sanchez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andrés Peredes in the 39th minute of the match. Orlando Sanchez came out of the goal in the 48th minute to try and stop a shot by Puerto San José's Wilmer Dubon. But to his dismay, Wilmer Dubon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marvin Alfaro was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Puerto San José booed when Newlyn East AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marvin Alfaro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 56th play minute William Posadas came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Orlando Sanchez. 0-3. Orlando Sanchez didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 62nd minute, which inside left pole to 0-4. Orlando Sanchez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilmer Dubon in the 71st minute of the match. After having played for 80 minutes, Andrés Peredes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Puerto San José's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andrés Peredes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 83rd minute of the match, Raúl Cabrera got a very nice opportunity to score, but Orlando Sanchez was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 85th minute, William Posadas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Orlando Sanchez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilmer Dubon in the 86th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Newlyn East AFC's zone, Wilmer Dubon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Orlando Sanchez came out of the goal and Wilmer Dubon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Newlyn East AFC's Orlando Sanchez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilmer Dubon in the 98th minute of play. When the match was over Puerto San José could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Newlyn East AFC throughout the match.
