Seating: 2000, VIP seats: 0) Worcester Park AFC's Eliseo Gallardo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Rudy Talia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rene Lara in the 7th minute. Rudy Talia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arturo Lovo in the 8th minute of play. Eliseo Gallardo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rene Lara's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Rudy Talia firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 18th minute, Miguel Quintanilla got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rene Lara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rudy Talia having to interfere. Arturo Lovo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Worcester Park AFC's Rudy Talia got control of the ball when Rene Lara tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ilfracombe's goalkeeper Jose Torres, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 32nd minute Eliseo Gallardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jose Torres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 35th match minute, Ilfracombe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Will Ramos to maneuver through the defense. Rene Lara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rudy Talia having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Worcester Park AFC's zone, Rene Lara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rudy Talia came out of the goal and Rene Lara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Arturo Lovo to strike the kick off in the second half. Mauro Ulloa's late challenge caught a Worcester Park AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mauro Ulloa helped the player get up and apologised. Jose Torres made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Roberto Mora sent off a good shot on target. Eliseo Gallardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Jose Torres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Will Ramos fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ilfracombe's protests and gave Will Ramos a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Ilfracombe's Will Ramos got a free kick in the 58th minute. With a little luck, Ilfracombe's Jose Torres got control of the ball when Miguel Quintanilla tried to sneak it across the goal line. Eliseo Gallardo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jose Torres came out and tried to block the shot, but Eliseo Gallardo slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 68th minute. 71 minutes into the match, Ilfracombe's goal looked a bit too open when Eliseo Gallardo came free, but Jose Torres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 83rd match minute, Ilfracombe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ramon Espindola to maneuver through the defense. 84 minutes into the match, Worcester Park AFC's Jaime Canales broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Eliseo Gallardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Rudy Talia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arturo Lovo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Worcester Park AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Worcester Park AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
