An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Quintanilla in the 13th minute of play forced Puerto San José's goalkeeper Mariano Umaña to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Worcester Park AFC booed when Puerto San José was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgar Chavez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Andrés Peredes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wilmer Dubon struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Rudy Talia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Puerto San José. Andrés Peredes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 22nd minute, Worcester Park AFC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Wilmer Dubon fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 26th minute, Puerto San José's Alejandro Erazo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Rudy Talia. Rudy Talia yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Roberto Mora kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. After having played for 35 minutes, William Posadas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Puerto San José's supporters crossed their fingers, but William Posadas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 36 minutes into the match, Worcester Park AFC's goalkeeper Rudy Talia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by William Posadas. Andrés Peredes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rudy Talia having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when William Posadas made the kick off in the second half. William Posadas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Rudy Talia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 58th minute, William Posadas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In a very dangerous position, a player in Worcester Park AFC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 60th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Puerto San José a penalty, 62 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Armando Rodriguez, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Worcester Park AFC's Rudy Talia. 3-0. Roberto Mora kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. 73 minutes into the game, William Posadas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Rudy Talia was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some careless play in the Worcester Park AFC defense, Raúl Cabrera kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rudy Talia. The Worcester Park AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rudy Talia should have stopped the shot. William Posadas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Rudy Talia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 92nd minute, Worcester Park AFC's Roberto Mora dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 5-1. In the 95th minute, Wilmer Dubon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Andrés Peredes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rudy Talia having to make a save. William Posadas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rudy Talia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 98th minute of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Puerto San José fully deserved thier win.
