The GuateFortín fans' excitement grew in the 3rd match minute when GuateFortín's Sven-Edvin Jansson looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 7thth minute of the game Zico Zellier who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ΟΥΡΑΝΙΟΣ's Misael Carballo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 12 minutes of play, GuateFortín's Sven-Edvin Jansson made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Misael Carballo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sven-Edvin Jansson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Misael Carballo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. Misael Carballo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zico Zellier in the 19th minute of the match. Sven-Edvin Jansson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Misael Carballo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. Misael Carballo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zico Zellier, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. ΟΥΡΑΝΙΟΣ were furious when Emiliano Salazar was red carded, 26 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in ΟΥΡΑΝΙΟΣ fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 26th minute. Penalty! 33 minutes into the match, Sven-Edvin Jansson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Misael Carballo. ΟΥΡΑΝΙΟΣ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sven-Edvin Jansson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sven-Edvin Jansson in the 37th minute of play forced ΟΥΡΑΝΙΟΣ's goalkeeper Misael Carballo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Misael Carballo came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by GuateFortín's Sven-Edvin Jansson. But to his dismay, Sven-Edvin Jansson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-6 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Thierry Henry stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to GuateFortín getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Angel Alvarenga hit a great ball. In the 54th minute, Alfredo Alvarez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zico Zellier was extremely unlucky when he, in the 56th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. With an all-out effort, GuateFortín's Misael Carballo threw himself towards the right post 56 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Thierry Henry, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The audience thought a goal was coming when Thierry Henry got free with Misael Carballo in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Josue Duarte charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Josue Duarte the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Misael Carballo made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Zico Zellier sent off a good shot on target. GuateFortín's Ivan Lozano was substituted for Roberto Trotta. GuateFortín made a substitution. William Villanueva replaced Zico Zellier. GuateFortín's Severo Rameriz was substituted for Stanyo Búnkov. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Thierry Henry in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Misael Carballo saved ΟΥΡΑΝΙΟΣ from getting behind. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind ΟΥΡΑΝΙΟΣ's goalkeeper Misael Carballo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 71 minutes into the match, William Villanueva had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Misael Carballo. ΟΥΡΑΝΙΟΣ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that William Villanueva was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-7. Misael Carballo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Thierry Henry showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-8 in the 75 minute of play. Misael Carballo made an important save on a dangerous shot by William Villanueva in the 78th minute. 80 minutes into the match, ΟΥΡΑΝΙΟΣ's goal looked a bit too open when Thierry Henry came free, but Misael Carballo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. ΟΥΡΑΝΙΟΣ's Misael Carballo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thierry Henry in the 86th minute of play. Misael Carballo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thierry Henry in the 88th minute of the match. With his leg Misael Carballo managed to avoid a goal in the 89thth minute, when GuateFortín's William Villanueva fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Thierry Henry might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Misael Carballo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Thierry Henry ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 91st minute Thierry Henry shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Misael Carballo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Thierry Henry came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the GuateFortín fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Thierry Henry couldn't finish the play. Alfredo Bermudez kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in ΟΥΡΑΝΙΟΣ's zone, William Villanueva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Misael Carballo came out of the goal and William Villanueva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match was over GuateFortín could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than ΟΥΡΑΝΙΟΣ throughout the match.
