The tension between the Levenshulme and the Freshwater players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 15 played minutes Levenshulme got a freekick which was hit by Primitivo Tobar. The supporters of Freshwater booed when Levenshulme was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Primitivo Tobar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Levenshulme's Will Alferez got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Levenshulme's Julio Alfaro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Levenshulme from getting a goal against them. The Levenshulme fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Alfaro should have stopped the shot. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 85 minutes into the game, Freshwater's Cesar Jimenez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Alfaro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-1. Julio Alfaro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernesto Barrera in the 92nd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Cesar Jimenez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Alfaro was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. There was no doubt that Freshwater were the better team. Freshwater's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
