But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Max Machado couldn't finish the play. Deris Flamenco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgardo Melendez in the 13th minute of play. The supporters of Levenshulme booed when Avebury was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Humberto Morales didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Rolando Costas came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Levenshulme fans jumped to their feet. A collision led to Levenshulme getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Omar Arango hit a great ball. 40 minutes in the game Jairo Corpeño after having made a beautiful turn got a great opportunity to score and fired away a shot that went just to the left past a relieved Julio Alfaro. A very good opportunity. In the 45th minute, Max Machado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

Max Machado blasted a shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Alfaro having to make a save. In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind Levenshulme's goalkeeper Julio Alfaro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Levenshulme's Primitivo Tobar got a free kick in the 57th minute. When Omar Lozano fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Avebury's protests and gave Omar Lozano a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Avebury getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Omar Lozano hit a great ball. Mauro Coreas hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ivan Rivero in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Deris Flamenco saved Avebury from getting behind. Julio Alfaro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Max Machado in the 65th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rolando Costas during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 66 played minutes Levenshulme got a freekick which was hit by Rolando Costas. After 67 played minutes, Avebury's Jairo Corpeño shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Julio Alfaro came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Avebury reached it. Giovani Chavez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Alfaro having to interfere. Deris Flamenco was out of position in the 73 minute of play, and Ivan Rivero capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ivan Rivero really showed his touch with that goal: 4-1. In the 76th match minute, Avebury was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Humberto Morales to maneuver through the defense. Edgardo Melendez succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 4-2 in the 77th playminute. Edgardo Melendez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Deris Flamenco having to interfere. Julio Alfaro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Max Machado, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Humberto Morales hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Levenshulme's Cristian Huezo got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Avebury's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
