An unexpectedly hard shot by Yasir Guevara in the 10th minute of play forced ΟΥΡΑΝΙΟΣ's goalkeeper Misael Carballo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 12 minutes into the match, Comunicaciones FC's Yasir Guevara sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Misael Carballo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Marvin Villarreal put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Elias Portillo. If Alexander Gallegos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Misael Carballo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yasir Guevara in the 36th minute of the match. After 36 played minutes ΟΥΡΑΝΙΟΣ got a freekick which was hit by Josue Duarte. In the 37th match minute, Comunicaciones FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yasir Guevara to maneuver through the defense. Francisco Escalante struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Elias Portillo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ΟΥΡΑΝΙΟΣ. After a defensive mix-up in ΟΥΡΑΝΙΟΣ's zone, Yasir Guevara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Misael Carballo came out of the goal and Yasir Guevara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Comunicaciones FC's Ernesto Ancheta got a free kick in the 47th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Francisco Escalante to strike the kick off in the second half. Francisco Escalante who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 53rdth minute tested the skills of Elias Portillo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Comunicaciones FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ΟΥΡΑΝΙΟΣ the free kick. In the 83rd minute, Francisco Escalante fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Elias Portillo, passed just outside the right post. Alexander Gallegos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Misael Carballo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. When Baltazar Tobar fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Comunicaciones FC's protests and gave Baltazar Tobar a yellow card for diving instead. In the 88th match minute, Comunicaciones FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baltazar Tobar to maneuver through the defense. After 89 played minutes, ΟΥΡΑΝΙΟΣ's Alfredo Alvarez shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Elias Portillo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in ΟΥΡΑΝΙΟΣ reached it. Misael Carballo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexander Gallegos in the 93rd minute of play. The ΟΥΡΑΝΙΟΣ supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing ΟΥΡΑΝΙΟΣ would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
