After 32 played minutes, Ciudad Quesada's Macho Garita shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Orlando Miranda came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ciudad Quesada reached it. Andrei Rojas's late challenge caught a Ciudad Quesada's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Andrei Aguilar hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Marco Volio was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Hernan Ortega showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 45 minute of play.

Orlando Miranda didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rafa Cisneros went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 62nd minute Hernan Parra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Volio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Ciudad Quesada's zone, Hernan Parra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marco Volio came out of the goal and Hernan Parra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rafa Cisneros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 77th minute of the match Macho Garita shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Orlando Miranda showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.
