Golfito's Franklin Duran got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 29 minutes into the match, Baru's Ismael Williams broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 31 minutes into the game, Baru's Alfonso Flores nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Adrian Flores made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. If Alfonso Flores had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 40 minutes into the game, Reynaldo Lobo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Baru's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Golfito the free kick. A collision led to Baru getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Reynaldo Lobo hit a great ball. In the 46th minute, Guido Carrillo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alfonso Flores made a kick off. The supporters of Baru booed when Golfito was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elias Granados didn't get a good kick on the ball. Adrian Flores took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfonso Flores, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 57 minutes of play, Golfito's Franklin Duran made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tito Coronado was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 60th minute, Paul Guerrero ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tito Coronado was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Guido Carrillo kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. When Golfito's Paul Guerrero in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Baru's goalie prevented a goal. Franklin Duran might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tito Coronado. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Franklin Duran ran back to his position shaking his head. Paul Guerrero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Alfonso Flores kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Paul Guerrero struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Tito Coronado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Golfito. 82 minutes into the game, Guido Carrillo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Adrian Flores was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Franklin Duran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfonso Flores sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Guido Carrillo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Adrian Flores tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Baru players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Golfito from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
