Spectators: 6782 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1782, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Alexander Federspiel got the match started through his kick off. Alexander Federspiel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel Monge having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Orotina FC's Emiliano Duran got a free kick in the 7th minute. Orotina FC's Israel Matarrita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Uriel Matamoros in the 14th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, Orotina FC's goal looked a bit too open when Chico Ayala came free, but Israel Matarrita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Turrialba FC's Uriel Matamoros got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Leonel Carballo charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leonel Carballo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Turrialba FC's Leonel Carballo got a free kick in the 24th minute. Chico Ayala's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Israel Matarrita read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. Israel Matarrita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chico Ayala in the 29th minute of the match. Miguel Monge made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alain Fonseca in the 30th minute. Chico Ayala sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 48 played minutes Orotina FC got a freekick which was hit by Mainor Blanco. Israel Matarrita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chico Ayala, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Chico Ayala made the kick off in the second half. In the 63rd minute, Uriel Matamoros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 67 minutes into the match, Orotina FC's goalkeeper Israel Matarrita had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Uriel Matamoros. If Alain Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Uriel Matamoros managed to get in a good position for a shot. Turrialba FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Uriel Matamoros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Israel Matarrita breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 85th minute Alexander Federspiel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Monge saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 87 minutes into the game, Uriel Matamoros cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Israel Matarrita was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Alain Fonseca took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Miguel Monge. Miguel Monge dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Manrique Cespedes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel Monge having to interfere. Emiliano Duran hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. After 101 minutes Orotina FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Benny Luna who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Turrialba FC's corner Benny Luna fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Israel Matarrita quite easily take care of the ball. The Turrialba FC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Orotina FC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
