After a rather tough play, Orotina FC's Israel Sirias got a free kick in the 45th minute. After some careless play in the Orotina FC defense, Cid Villafranca kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Israel Matarrita. The Orotina FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Israel Matarrita should have stopped the shot. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edgar Castro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Israel Matarrita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgar Castro, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 60th match minute, Palmares AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cid Quesada to maneuver through the defense. In the 66th minute Alexander Federspiel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keylor Mesa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Palmares AFC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Orotina FC for a fine match.
