Herradura AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Palmar AFC the free kick. After 13 played minutes Herradura AFC got a freekick which was hit by Berny Quiros. If Oldemar Solano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oldemar Solano received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Minor Murillo came out and tried to block the shot, but Oldemar Solano slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 16th minute. After 21 played minutes Palmar AFC got a freekick which was hit by Pancho Portuguez. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Vicente Camacho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Herradura AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Vicente Camacho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Agustin Castro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Efren Ulloa kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Agustin Castro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vicente Camacho in the 27th minute of the match. Rafael Ulloa made a great header on Herradura AFC's corner, it was just that Palmar AFC's Agustin Castro managed to reach the ball for a save. Minor Murillo came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Palmar AFC's Jason Colon. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Palmar AFC's Agustin Castro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Buenaventura Acuña in the 47th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
