Spectators: 6795 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1795, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Buenaventura Acuña got the match started through his kick off. Vicente Camacho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Keylor Mesa having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Palmares AFC's Reynaldo Carvajal got a free kick in the 11th minute. After 23 minutes, Reynaldo Carvajal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Palmares AFC and the Herradura AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Reynaldo Carvajal hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Anacleto Padilla was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 24th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. If Edgar Castro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Herradura AFC getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Rafael Ulloa hit a great ball. In the 32nd minute, Cid Villafranca ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Minor Murillo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. 38 minutes into the match, Herradura AFC's goalkeeper Minor Murillo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cid Villafranca. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Santiago Leon during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 42nd minute, Santiago Leon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cid Quesada fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Minor Murillo having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edgar Castro made a kick off. Minor Murillo came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Palmares AFC's Edgar Castro. But to his dismay, Edgar Castro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Santiago Leon got his second yellow card in the match during the 61st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Vicente Camachos short, quick shot in the 64thth minute got Keylor Mesa to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 70 minutes into the match, Herradura AFC's Buenaventura Acuña sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Keylor Mesa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 75 minutes, Cid Villafranca managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Palmares AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cid Villafranca was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cid Villafranca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Minor Murillo having to interfere. Keylor Mesa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vicente Camacho in the 82nd minute. Cid Quesada's late challenge caught a Herradura AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cid Quesada helped the player get up and apologised. In the 87th match minute, Palmares AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cid Quesada to maneuver through the defense. Herradura AFC were awarded a corner in the 90th minute after Palmares AFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Anacleto Padilla took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Anacleto Padilla got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Keylor Mesa quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Keylor Mesa made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Vicente Camacho sent off a good shot on target. When the match had gone on for 93 minutes, Vicente Camacho took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Keylor Mesa to make any attempt to save it. Palmares AFC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
