Wim Wilmes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Franciszek Chuchro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 温洋树 in the 9th minute of the match. Franciszek Chuchro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Franciszek Chuchro came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt. But to his dismay, Gustaaf Groeneveldt quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 16 minutes into the match, 马大哈's goal looked a bit too open when Wim Wilmes came free, but Franciszek Chuchro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Franciszek Chuchro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gijsbert ter Kruimer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 23rd minute 马大哈 were awarded a corner. 罗坚潮 went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led 马大哈's 罗坚潮 to fire away a dangerous shot which Arnout Reekers despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Gustaaf Groeneveldt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franciszek Chuchro having to interfere. When 温洋树 came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the 马大哈 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that 温洋树 couldn't finish the play. In the 29th minute Gustaaf Groeneveldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franciszek Chuchro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 39th minute 罗皓镇 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Wim Wilmes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Netherlands's supporters rose to their feet, but Wim Wilmes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Franciszek Chuchro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half Netherlands were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Wim Wilmes came free with the goalkeeper in the 55th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Franciszek Chuchro could save by the left post. In the 56th match minute, Netherlands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Eikelkamp to maneuver through the defense. 马大哈's Franciszek Chuchro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save 马大哈 from getting a goal against them. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 温洋树 in the 66th minute of play. In the 68th minute 温洋树 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 79th minute of the match, Gijsbert ter Kruimer tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Franciszek Chuchro saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 80th minute Netherlands were awarded a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Gijsbert ter Kruimer got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Franciszek Chuchro quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 马大哈's Franciszek Chuchro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save 马大哈 from getting a goal against them. 84 minutes into the match, 马大哈's goalkeeper Franciszek Chuchro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wim Wilmes. 沈谦银 hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. 马大哈's 姜青 was substituted for 罗皓镇. The supporters of Netherlands booed when 马大哈 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. 沈谦银 didn't get a good kick on the ball. Franciszek Chuchro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 89th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Netherlands's zone, 柳钢烽 stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnout Reekers came out of the goal and 柳钢烽 tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 92nd match minute, 马大哈 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by 温洋树 to maneuver through the defense. When the match was over Netherlands could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than 马大哈 throughout the match.
