He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Franklin Ulloa. Benito Gaitan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Franklin Ulloa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Donald Cisneros kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Turrialba's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
