David Medina took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emilio Mendez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tomas Ortiz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. David Medina tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Emilio Mendez came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Kamuk FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emilio Mendez couldn't finish the play. David Medina made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Ortiz in the 23rd minute. After 32 played minutes Kamuk FC got a freekick which was hit by Tomas Ortiz. Minor Ortega took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tuto Varela, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nicolas Camacho kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Emilio Mendez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kamuk FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Emilio Mendez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. David Medina breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kamuk FC's Minor Ortega played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Beto Barrantes in the 48th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Beto Barrantes to make the kick off. Beto Barrantes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Minor Ortega having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Kamuk FC's Gonzalo Montoya got a free kick in the 55th minute. Emilio Mendez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but David Medina read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. la Fortuna's Beto Barrantes was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 62nd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Tomas Ortiz struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. David Medina didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kamuk FC. David Medina showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Ortiz in the 90th minute of the match.
