Spectators: 6794 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1794, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Perez Zeledon AFC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Alvin Solera 7 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. 10 minutes into the match, Heredia's goal looked a bit too open when Andrei Murillo came free, but Martin Williams reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rene Mora's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nestor Carvajal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. Olger Quiros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Martin Williams tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Andrei Murillo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Perez Zeledon AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Andrei Murillo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Martin Williams breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Andrei Murillo made a kick off. Olger Quiros succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 51st playminute. In the 56th match minute, Perez Zeledon AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martin Saborio to maneuver through the defense. 61 minutes into the game, Perez Zeledon AFC's Olger Quiros nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Martin Williams made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Martin Vanderlat took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nestor Carvajal. Nestor Carvajal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Martin Williams made an important save on a dangerous shot by Olger Quiros in the 71st minute. Perez Zeledon AFC's Nestor Carvajal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rene Mora in the 74th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 79 minutes, Martin Williams successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Olger Quiros could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Martin Williams made a huge save. With a little luck, Heredia's Martin Williams got control of the ball when Olger Quiros tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Heredia's Martin Vanderlat got a free kick in the 84th minute. With an all-out effort, Perez Zeledon AFC's Martin Williams threw himself towards the right post 85 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Andrei Murillo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 86thth minute of the game Andrei Murillo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Heredia's Martin Williams was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
