The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bennie Mora during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 15th minute, Bennie Mora hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 17th minute, Paquera's Jesus Piedra ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Marco Villegas. Marco Villegas yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Paquera's Jesus Piedra was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 20th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Nicolas Huertas who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 30thth minute tested the skills of Marco Villegas when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Jesus Piedra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Marco Villegas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Paquera booed when Mal pais AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bennie Mora didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mal pais AFC's Warner Saenz got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 43 minutes into the match, Freddy Caballero dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Marco Villegas, 4-0. Marco Villegas made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Nicolas Huertas sent off a good shot on target. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The supporters of Paquera booed when Mal pais AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aurelio Gaitan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paquera's Jesus Piedra managed to work through Mal pais AFC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. With a little luck, Paquera's Inocencio Coto got control of the ball when Warner Saenz tried to sneak it across the goal line.
